Suffering gives new opportunities to learn God’s statutes: to hear God speak loud and clear. God allows suffering and He is faithful through it. As we maneuver our way through the difficulties of life, we can be assured that His merciful kindness can and will comfort us. That is what he promises in His Word! We can ask with confidence for His comfort knowing that He will give it in abundance.
Why does God allow suffering is an age old question. People have tried to connect a personal flaw to every single occurrence of suffering in our lives, and we are good at condemning ourselves. While sin and disobedience can cause terrible consequences, the Bible also gives us examples of people going through suffering that the work of God might be displayed.
But let’s face it. Suffering HURTS! Excruciating pain can lead us into confusion, doubt and depression. The Bible tells us in Genesis 3:15 that the seed of the woman, Jesus Christ, would crush Satan’s head but receive a bruised heel in the process. As we identify with Christ, we know that if we suffer with Him, we shall also reign with Him.
The goal of this website is to give inspiration and encouragement, and products and services to promote a life of health and wholeness spiritually and emotionally. We want to help someone through their times of suffering; through the times of "bruised heels". When we are out of strength and rely on God, we will be living testimonies that the excellency of the power is of God and not of us. Suffering allows God to show off in us. He shows His power when we are weak.
Lord, help us to glory in our “bruised heels"
that the power of Christ may be upon us. Amen!
